Meet PALMER, the official mascot of CoolToday Park and the FCL Braves!

On a sunny day on the sun coast of western Florida, a magical wave washed a palm tree frond ashore on the sandy beaches of Wellen Park. PALMER was born. A bit short, the baby palm tree was here to stay. A tidal wave ride was about to begin!

Along his travels, PALMER met a special mermaid who would change his life forever — Diamond of the Sea. Diamond introduced PALMER to her friends from the depths of the Gulf of Mexico to the southern shores of Sarasota County. Palmer made his Braves Country debut during Welcome Weekend in 2025 and is ready to create new frond-ships and spread his branches out in the community.
