Celebrity Softball Game and Rodney Atkins Concert

The Celebrity Softball Game will consist of two teams which will include celebrities from music, television, professional sports and more. The teams will also have members of local Active-Duty Military Personal and/or Military Veterans and First Responders participating in the game.

After the game there will be a concert on the field featuring country music star Rodney Atkins! And opening the show will be our own local celebrity, recording artist and law enforcement officer, Jason Brownie!

The United Way of South Sarasota County is proud to help heroes and their families. 100% of the proceeds for this event will go to programs and services that directly help our heroes. This year one of the Highlight organizations will be My Warriors Place.

Tickets include admission to both the game and concert.

Event Details

Address & Parking

CoolToday Park is located at 18800 West Villages Parkway, Venice, Fl 34293. Parking can be accessed by turning into the main entrance/lot of the stadium. Parking attendants will be directing all traffic into the stadium and throughout the parking lots. Parking is free of charge.

Gates & Event Schedule

All gates open at 2:30pm for the Celebrity Softball Game. Celebrity Batting Practice will take place at 2:40pm. There will be a pregame ceremony starting at 3:40pm with first pitch at 4:00pm. The concert will begin at 7:00pm. Guests may begin to access the field at 6:00pm to view the concert.

Seating & Field Access

Seating for the Celebrity Softball Game will be in the lower bowl (sections 101-121) of CoolToday Park. Chairs are NOT permitted into the stadium. Guests are welcome to bring blankets. To access the outfield area please make your way to the far ends of each dugout (Sections 104 and 119) to the red Braves feather banners. There you will enter the baseball field and make your way around the infield fencing to center field. Guests needing assistance to get to the field level please make your way to the elevator located behind section 109 and staff will be there to get you down to the field level to access the field.

Concessions

Concessions on the concourse level will be available for the duration of the softball game. Concessions will become available in the outfield area for the concert. Coolers and outside food and beverage will NOT be permitted into the stadium.

Bags

All bags must be thoroughly inspected before they are permitted into the facility. Bags exceeding a maximum size of 16 x 16 x 8 inches will not be allowed. Box templates will be used at inspection points, and bags and their contents must fit without assistance. Multi-compartment backpacks and bags will not be permitted. Exceptions may be granted for certain circumstances (medical, infant care bags, etc.).

Re-Entry

Re-entry will be permitted until 5:30pm. As of 5:30pm, re-entry will not be allowed.

Exiting the Stadium

Once the concert is over, we ask that all guests clear the field by existing back to the gates by the dugouts in section 104 and 119. You will make your way up to the concourse level and exit the park via Gate 1 or Gate 2.
